Air Penguin Guide
Global warming, factories waste, gasoline and spreading toxic has ripped a hole in the ozone, right above Antarctica. Okay, but what does it have to do with me? Well, is kinda does concern you, but that’s a different topic, but you know who are affected most by that? That’s right, penguins!
Ice glaciers start to melt and turn into water, all over the place. This is the story of one brave penguin to save his lost family who desperately need his help! Join the hero penguin on his quest to save his family before the ice melts, but you have to hurry up – you don’t have much time left!
To reunite the penguin family, it’s up to you to guide the penguin by tilting your device left and right, up and down, and purchasing special items, bonuses and power ups to help you along your hard journey. Air Penguin features a great story mode, but also a survival mode in which you have to reach as far as you can before drowning. You also game Game Center achievements, unlockable items and other trophies to unlock!
Air Penguin Guide
The controls are easy and simple to understand, but also tough to master! For the first time, you can rotate your device left, right, down and up all in a 3D environment. The Penguin jumps constantly, and your objective is to move forward to reach checkpoints along your journey to the lost penguin family members.
Tipping your device forward will increase your momentum, making you leap faster and having more air time, like Michael Jordan. This is of course riskier, so make sure to tilt backwards for safer movement, with is slower and more accurate.
To slide left or right, simply rotate your device to the left or right and the penguin will slide, rotate or float to the corresponding side. Pay special attention when rotating in mid-air, because it’s there where movements are more sensitive – a slightly overly gesture could send the cute penguin to his demise, let’s not allow that to happen!
The Ice platform
Say hello to the equivalent of Doodle Jump’s platform. These are the types of icy platforms you will need to hop on to advance towards the check points most of the time. When you land on one on them, you will notice they start to break, but don’t fret, they will remain intact. It is the one’s that are broken to begin with that you want to avoid.
Broken platform
Jumping on those will immediately dissolve the ice, making the poor penguin submerged by icy cold water, infested by sharks and other baddies! Let’s try to stay clear of those, shall we?!
Taxi Turtles!
A very friendly form of motile water platform. Landing on these extremely friendly turtles will cause them to awaken and transport you to wherever you wish. You will have total control over the turtle, by making it stir left, right and also up and down. In fact, you can even go backwards while you piggyback on a turtle, something that you can’t normally do on Air Penguin game.
The Starfish
These funny shaped starfish serve as a regular water platform, but with a little twist. The Starfish will alternate between submerge itself and resurface constantly and consistently. It is you to you to direct the brave Penguin and make him hop on the starfish when he isn’t submerge, because otherwise, that’s just all bad news!
The Octopus
Let’s start of by praying that these huge creatures remain a sleep, because otherwise, who knows what kinds of trouble we could’ve gotten ourselves into. Back to the point, these guys act as springboards, and once you hop of them prepared to get a massive boost and get launched very far. Sounds pretty cool, but there is a catch – once you hop on them, they will squirt ink which will cover your screen, and might possibly induce mayhem!
The Whale
These guys have huge blowholes on their back, and jumping directly on it will launch you like a slingshot towards ice platforms or much desired checkpoints. Make sure you land directly on it, otherwise you will simply drown.
The Shark
A very non friendly creature, as you might have guessed. These Jaw-like sharks have big… Jaws. Stay perfectly clear of them if you want to continue your quest. They will auto detect you based on your sweet penguin scent and jump high in the air to get you. Make sure you leap around them, or bating them to jump first and then make your move!
The Swordfish
Like the sharks, the swordfish isn’t a creature that you want to meet in Antarctica. Safe to say, you might not want to meet him at all. These creatures flip from one side of the screen to the other one, and poke Penguins and other creatures with their sharp beak. Make sure you leap when it’s appropriate, otherwise you will be an appropriate meal!
Seals
Best to avoid these little buggers. Touching them will not result in you getting eaten, however, will will bounce you off to the opposite side which can be quite dangerous, especially on a tight platform. Just stay clear of them if possible – we all know seals and penguins can’t get along anyways!
Ice Holes
This one be pretty obvious. Stay clear of ice holes, to not drown, simply put. You will see these holes every now and then, especially on long icy terrains so be very alert and focused, there is quite a few of those out there!
Power-ups
The currently in Air Penguin game is fishies, duh. Collect these when you can to get various bonuses, power ups and other unlockable items from the in-game store.
